Hi I have just been asked exactly the same question by someone else.
I have seen a G4 upgrade in action and it is very impressive, but as it is still under the Leopard minimum specs you would still be running Tiger on it (unless like me you would run Leopard anyway). Personally for the expense of the upgrade it is not worth the money unless you get it cheap.
