Hi Dana,
I have parted out that exact same model iBook for a friend who desperately 
wanted the hard drive retrieved so he could salvage his data and then erase the 
drive.. I bought the unit from him for $100 (including an Airport Card) and 
ultimately sold the parts for more than $200. You may have a similar good 
fortune.

The video screen is in demand. Take care not to cut the video cable and/or the 
Airport cable. The power supply, keyboard, bottom case, and hard drive will 
also sell. I actually sold the screws in a lot. When I was done all I had left 
was the internal grid.

The motherboard may sell especially if you describe the problem and what you 
have done and what you suspect may be the problem.
