I had to replace the LCD in my PowerBook G4 Titanium. It meant I had  
to prise off the thin metal housing, which I did. Putting it back  
together I used some strong glue and got a little on the screen itself.

Short of actually scraping it gently with a small screwdriver you  
could try baby wipes. They are marvelous things and I got a little  
glue on the LCD of this one and baby wipes took most of it off.
