Hello! I have 3 G3 Macs, and 2 of them have Safari 3.2.1 as well as
Mac OS X 10.4.11 with all of the updates installed. I have noticed
that on my 400 Mhz G3 Pismo with 384 MB RAM and a 20 GB HDD, Safari
will be unresponsive if it is left open for around 5 minutes. If I
click on a link to a website, it will not load. I first thought it
was my internet connection, but I could ping other websites just
fine. When I did Command + Q, Safari Froze with the bold "Safari"
word in the upper left corner of the screen highlighted blue. To get
it to quit, I would have to Force Quit it. On my 500 Mhz iBook G3
Dual USB with 320 MB RAM and a 10 GB HDD, this issue happens the same
way it does on my Pismo. The other G3 Mac I have, the Wallstreet 233,
is running Jaguar, so I cannot test it with that. My intel iMac
Aluminum running Leopard has the same Safari version I think, yet
does not have this issue. Does this issue happen to you guys? Thanks!
