Hello,

The other day I fell asleep and spilled/splashed a some coffee on the
trackpad area of my Pismo. By the time I noticed what had happened the Pismo
had shut off and would not restart. So I took if apart as far as the power
card that is under the trackpad and let everything dry out. When it was
reassembled it would start and run off the charged battery( charged in a
different Pismo) but not off the ac adapter and no charging of the battery.
>From what I can tell off the Ifixit site, this would seem to indicate that
the power card under the track pad is still functional. The next thing to
check would be the ac in/sound board and then the motherboard. I might add
here that the ac adapter still tests good as far as I can tell.
What I'd like to know is if anyone has had a similar experience how likely
is the ac/sound board replacement to fix this, because if I end up buying
both the ac board and the motherboard I could just as well get a fixer upper
Pismo and change my drives and memory over.

your thoughts on this matter would be appreciated.

Richard Jepsen
