I found the 8GB limit irksome for running Tiger on my similar Wallstreet.

The solution: make use of XPostFacto's Helper Disk.

Partition your hard disk with a small (>100MB, <7.9GB) partition 
first in the list, then install Tiger to another partition (any size, 
anywhere).

When starting up using XPostFacto, select your small first partition 
as the 'Helper' in the drop down menu of the dialog box.

I am currently running Tiger X.4.11 from a 20GB partition by this method.
