It was way back in 2000 that I gave up on WD because from my personal 
experience; each drive that failed at that time was a WD, then Maxtor. 
Now I only buy Hitachi and Seagate. I still do entertain WD, but no WD. 
This is from personal experience. I will take a free WD though but will 
not put anything I can't afford to loose on it.
