Press and release the reset button located on the rear panel of the computer between the external video and modem ports. 3. Wait 5 seconds 4. Press the power button to restart the computer. Note: Resetting the power manager also resets the Date and Time. After the reset, the system clock will be set to 12:00 A.M., 01/01/1904. (Removed expansion bay battery, ac adapter, all cables, expansion bay devices, pc card — everything — for a "deeper" reset.) Then I reset the PRAM (reboot, Command-Option-P-R, five times in a row.) Then I did the Open Firmware resets: reset-nvram set-defaults reset-all Didn't make a difference. I run Temperature Monitor all the time, and the Mac isn't overheated when the power-downs occur. (109 F or thereabouts; it takes 116-120 F to make the fan come on.) Any ideas?
