I think I will just install the iLife 06 version, if I can find it around here. Thanks for the tip, Bruce, it weighed in very much on the decision. I'm trying now to get this enabled on my Sawtooth and I'm worrying now that my ATI 9200LE is only partially working, as I can't flash the ROM to 127 from version 124, and PCI Extreme will not work on it, and QE, which should be on by default because I'm on 10.4.11 is not on at all. Something about the card not supported.
