Hi everyone, I have an iBook G3 Dual USB that has the infamous "logic board problem". I've tried reflowing the GPU a couple of times with moderate success, but over time the problem recurs and the system will not boot. I've given up on this approach.
I'm considering removing the GPU altogether, but I am unsure if the system would be bootable without it. I'd like to use it as an embedded system to control some external hardware via USB. It would remain headless with access being provided via SSH over ethernet. Will I be able to boot into the OS without a graphics adapter? Does anyone have experience with this approach?
