Hi All
I have a Wallstreet 300 512 10.4.11 XPostFacto enabled. Every thing
works super good on the machine. The only thing I'm having trouble
with is playing DVDs. I have a couple of external drives connected
via FW and USB these drives will boot the machine with DVD installers
and play CDs on iTunes but I get an error that says "a valid DVD
drive cannot be found [-70012]" when I try to play a movie. Is there
a patch or something to fix this?
Are you attempting to play them using DVD Player? It won't work on the
Wallstreet. Software decoding isn't supported as it's too slow and the
PC Card hardware encoder is not supported. I'm not sure but I don't
think DVD Player will work with an external drive.
You can try using VLC, I understand it will do software decoding but
it's probably not going to be close to fast enough.
