Some people say it's wasteful-leaving a computer on at night sucks up electricity.

Anybody else have some unbelievable uptime stories?
My housemate grumbled at me last month because I rebooted her PowerBook. She had 50+ days of uptime on it. Hey, I was just installing software that SHE wanted!
The PowerMac 7300, on my desk, what I use to play streamed music and drive an ancient Mustek flatbed scanner, will be hitting 100 days of uptime this week.
I tend to reboot my Smurf once every week or two. But that's mostly because I need to fool around with its guts.
My other housemate's PC has just passed 5 hours of uptime! A new record for this year!
Long uptimes are nice but too often they may mean that you've neglected to apply some important software update. And of course, it's not being very *cough* green, to be wasting all those watties.
