Thanks for all the suggestions. When we insert a disk into the drive there is no response, no error message. In some of the drives we hear sounds that indicate it is trying to read the disk and in other none of those sounds. We have download the Iomega driver for Macs running OS 8 and 9 and that does not work. We are able to detect external iomega zip drives.
