.asf is a container file format, like .mov, .avi, .mkv, etc. Within
it could be data in any of dozens of formats. ASF was created by
Microsloth as a proprietary format, designed to contain data to be

If you can figure out what codec is actually being used within the
.asf file, ...
Most often .asf files contain wmv or wma data. Hopefully it will be
one of the versions that Flip4Mac can handle.
ffmpeg might be able to at least tell you what's in there...
