1) I am looking at a PDQ on ebay--what options do I have togo wireless--i.e. what (any?) card??
2) The old laser printer says it has IR capability

For sure both wallstreet and pdq have IR, but I tried several time nd it's not reliable at all, forget about.
I have a wireless card working, should be CISCO.
But if you still have to buy I suggest to go at least to lombard or better pismo, because they have USB native, and pismo also firewire, while wallstreet and pdq have only the chance to have usb via pcmcia adapter, and only usb 1.0, very slow.
You need to max RAM to 512MB in order to run panther or tiger (via XpostFacto) to  have acces to a decent internet browsing, skyping and so on ...
