I just want to vent to people who will sympathize -- Although my main computer these days is a Macbook Pro, I keep a Pismo by my side at all times in case I should need it.
Last time I needed it, it worked just fine. No problemo. I picked it up last night -- and it won't start at all. No light in the battery, no slight "popping" noise of the AC jack connecting (if you've ever had to fiddle with a loose jack, you'll know the sound I'm talking about), no nuthin. The transformer box on the cord lights up, so I know it's working. I tried resetting PRAM, wth no effect. Dangit. I'm assuming that somehow the jack has broken off the sound board. I've had that problem several times in the past, and although the jack doesn't FEEL loose, that's still what seems most likely. I hate it when this happens. Now I gotta dig into the guts of the stupid thing, and try to figure out what's going on. Sometimes I hate computers. Sigh...... Anyway, thanks for listening. I feel a little better now! -- You received this message because you are a member of G-Books, a group for those using G3 iBooks and PowerBooks (we run a separate list for G4 'Books).
