I have only ever come across one case where it's a good idea to stop
at a certain OS revision. I used to use an 800MHz iBook G3 that I ran
Tiger on. After the update to 10.4.11, I noticed that the graphics
chip ran much hotter than with 10.4.10, so much that it would be
difficult to use on my lap. I reinstalled and just updated to 10.4.10
and the heat output returned to normal. Not really relevant, but kind
of worth mentioning.
