Hi

The difference between 4.2.1 and 3.1.3 is definitely noticeable, but mine is 
not unusable under 4. It's a bit laggy at times but nothing annoying.

I'd sacrifice a bit of speed for iOS 4.

Then there is whited00r which is still on beta at present - the iOS 4 version - 
which is shaping up to be a nice bit of kit.
