Thanks for the answers; I won't dwell on it further, except to say that Idid
immediatelystop the synching when I got back home and began adding and erasing
Bookmarks, iTunes, etc. and wiping all the old passwords and other private
info. I should havewiped the whole system and re-installed but I am just plain
lazy. (and this laptophas Photoshop on it).
Still, it can't "sync" if it's 2000 miles away, can it?  I assumed all devices
need to be sharing the same wireless network, in the same house.
Or is this done remotely, over the Internet?Apple's description of this feature
is pretty brief.
I'm pretty sure everything's fine, anyway. I'll just email them and ask.
thanks.sr

You should first create an account for yourself, using her account. Do

you know how to do this ? (System Preferences / Accounts) You might

want to erase and start over later, but you could start with this. Use

export bookmarks in browser and export playlists in itunes, save in a

public spot (such as a usb stick or in /Users/Shared, and make sure in

Get Info window are public readable).
