I am new to mac, have a pismo with 10.2 and an imac flower pot with
10.4 installed.
I'm trying to transfer 10.4 to the pismo in order to get a decent
browser and coconu battery
on it. The pismo has no critical data and I have discs to restore
it, but I've recently discovered 40 gb of music on the imac--nothing
else of value (my files are in the air).
Connect the two machines with a firewire cable.
Boot the Pismo in Target Disk Mode.
When its HD appears on the iMac's desktop, use Disk Utility to erase it.
Then use CarbonCopyCloner (CCC) to slam a copy of the iMac's system
and whatever other files you want into the Pismo.
Boot the Pismo normally.
Search this group's archives for details about the above. Ditto for
the G3-5-List. Instructions for doing all this have been posted
repeatedly.
