All power adapters get hot, it's more a matter of how well they deal with 
the heat.
Also, most of the old brick hadn't developed a problem, yet. They were 
recalled because they were likely to develop problems in the future, and 
more to the point, Apple would've been liable.

If your Yo-Yo is so hot that it's painful to touch, then it needs to be 
replaced. Replace the replacement; fun, huh. :)
