I setup a Lacie FW CDRW yesterday (OS 9.2.2), and installed Toast 5.1.  Like
many others that have posted, it did not disable the disk burner or
authoring support extensions.  I wouldn't want to venture a guess as to why,
but it does seem hit and miss.
