I have an expansion bay SuperDisk for my Wallstreet, picked up on eBay for about $35. You can get them new from SuperDisk directly for $49.95, or about the same price a replacement floppy drive will cost you. http://www.smartdisk.com/products_Expan.asp
FWIW, the SD wouldn't read my Sony memory stick floppy adapter, it would only work with the real floppy expansion bay. Everything else I have put in there - Mac or PC floppies - has worked with no problems. -- JSH From: Todd Moody <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Mon, 06 May 2002 08:51:26 -0400 In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-Id: <IDOL73QLZT83GCXSRQIFSPVSDARMYW2Y.3cd67c4e@larry> Subject: Re: Floppy Drive for PB G3 5/5/2002 7:26:32 PM, Matt Reiff <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >Quick question. Looks like the r/w head is trash, as is the mechanism. Anyone have Matt, Since you're using Zip disks and floppies, I wonder whether it wouldn't be more convenient to get an external SuperDrive instead? (Unfortunately, internal SuperDrives were never manufactured for G3 Series, afaik.) It might be something to consider if you have trouble finding another floppy drive, and if you find yourself swapping drives often. -- G-Books is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
