As of a few days ago, my A/C adapter only works when you push it to one side after inserting it into the PowerBook (Wallstreet 300). I have already tried the "push the copper wires out of the way with a toothpick" trick from Macfixit.com.
Does this sound more like a bad A/C adapter or a bad PMU unit on the PowerBook? The A/C adapter is the original (often defective) one but I'm having trouble replacing it as the serial number on the bottom of the PB is too hard to read (required to do the warranty recall from Apple).
