I'm running OS X 10.1.5 on a PowerBook G3 400 Mhz (bronze keyboard). I have 256 Mgs of ram. Up until now OS X has worked like a charm. And the upgrades have all been improvements.
My son was recently playing a game, running in classic mode, which called for 256 colors. This could only be accomplished by setting the resolution to 800 x600. No problems so far. The problems came after he finished playing. Since then I am unable to restore the resolution to 1024 x 786. When I make the switch in the System Prefs, the screen goes black. The screen is still on but it is black and stays black. If I restart in 9.2 there is no problem and I can adjust the resolution and color depth as I choose. Any ideas how I can reset the resolution here? Wondering if a file has been corrupted or something like that. Oh, one more item. When I upgraded to 10.1.5 I also ran an update for the LTPro video card. This was the RageProFix recommended by MacFixIt.
