IIRC, video slowness was a design decision by Connectix. Graphics h/w acceleration was turned off to simplify the code and to optimize other parts of VPC. My only suggestion is to go into Windows 95, select Control Panels, Displays, Advanced, and turn off hardware acceleration there. This may give you better performance as well as better stability.
