That's true. What I intended to say, but didn't was the POP
forwarding service. For my mail, I like to download it to my machine via
POP and SMTP. Apple was gracious enough to give us close to three months
to pony up the dough. When I was unable to get my mail from yahoo
through my mail client, I checked it, and received a one week notice
that my pop service wouldn't work unless I coughed up the money. When I
tried to fix the settings, I couldn't.
Yahoo's tactics were far more heavy handed than Apple's. My only
gripe with .mac is that you can't have multiple addresses for that
price. For the $15 a month I pay AOL for the TCP/IP service, and I get
up to 7 e-mail accounts and such.
Though, the other nicety of AOL is that I can get 2 hours of dial
up time when I out and about.
