I'll reply to my own post as I figured it out. You have to remove all the Torx screws 
on the bottom, and the four Torx screws on the back inside the connector door that 
hold the display hinges. Remove the keyboard, heat spreader, hard disk, modem, cpu 
board (it lifts up), and the screw that holds the CPU board cage to the bottom of the 
computer. Remove the small plastic hinge cover below the display, and you will see 
three hidden screws in deep wells. Remove these three screws. The top and bottom will 
now come apart at the back first. The front will disengaged as the back is parted.

I found the the power supply connector on the little power control board was 
completely loose. All the solder joints had failed from the thousands of times the 
supply has been attached and removed. It was a simple matter to resolder the 
connector, using lots of solder to attach the mounting shield to the board.
