hi, i have been following the list for a longtime and have obtained a lot of useful tips and information. I am now having a problem with my wallstreet. After shutting down when I press the Power button, there is no startup chime and screen reamins balnk. This happens when I am using the battery or on the mains. There is power comin in because when i press the caps lock button after I press the power button the indicator lights up. Alo there is no response after using the reset option., though the power light comes on and I can hear the fan.
I am using Wallstreet with Bluechip G3 500 and with 198 Mb RAM and running system 9.2.2. I ah this problem sometime back but the machine started up after a few tries. Because of this I left it in sleep mode as I always do. Now I shut down to upgrade the RAM and am unable to startup again even with the roiginal RAM. Is this a problem with the PRAM battery- if so how do I change it. If not is there a problem with my power board. Please help I am in desperate need of important letters on the hard disk, which I need to access.
