Note that this is possible under OS 9 and supposedly Jaguar, but not OS X 10.1.
I'm assuming it will work under Jaguar and have bought a bunch of Airport cards. I already have an ABS at home which shares my DSL connection between my Pismo and my wife's dual USB iBook. At work I have a G4 desktop. I want to put an Airport card in the G4 so when I come to the office with my Pismo I can print from my Pismo, share my G4's internet connection and snyc files. My father has a dual USB iBook with a DSL connection at his house. He doesn't want to spend the money on an ABS and doesn't mind having his iBook chained to his desk all day. So I will put an airport card in his iBook and enable software basestation. Then I can share his connection when I'm at his house with my Pismo. And my cousin, who works at my parents' house, will get an airport card in her dual USB iBook so she can share my father's DSL connection and print through my father's iBook. If anyone needs Airport cards, there is a guy selling them on e-bay with an opening bid of $60 and buy it now at $68. I bought three from him.
