I find the iBook too small and the 14" to close to the size of my Pismo and not nearly as versatile although the small size of the iBook would be a plus for transporting, but the Pismo is a great size once I get where I am going. Battery life is also a big issue for me. My battery life is 2 to 3 hours for each of the two batteries I have and that works well for me, but I rarely take flights longer than 5 hours. I use my Pismo occasionally to watch DVD's on TV and it works great and is very easy to hook up. > > Big plusses for Pismo over iBook: screen size and upgradability. I use audio in quite a bit when I am transferring analog audio files to digital and putting them on CD's and the infrared is very cool to link my Sony PDA when I don't have the cradle with me. I carry a Zip 250 drive and a CD burner in my Laptop Backpack and find them much handier than my external burner when I am traveling and just switch them out when I need them. > > I've never really used a TiBook, but I would worry about airport > performance and fragility.
