Actually I've already done that with the drive I already have.  My 
partner's Fujitsu laptop was fried by a power surge and he was crushed 
by the loss of data.  His motherboard was a real mess.  I jerked the 
drive out and took apart the vst drive and put the Ibm formated drive in 
its place.  When plugged it into my Powerbook he was stunned to see all 
the files, safe and sound on my Mac desktop.  I don't think that the 
cover will ever look quite as finished, but I didn't have any problem 
getting it apart and back together.  Nothing that a little strapping 
tape won't fix.
