Thanks everyone for your help. I tried the various powerbook parts websites and Ebay but $800 for a replacement LCD is still way too much.
I think its going to become a FrankenMac. I will probably remove the top lid assembly and make it a desktop mac. I might even transfer all the internals to a custom plexiglas box.
