About the database corruption, I think it also has to do with Outlook Express. Many people use Outlook Express, and it actually is easily corrupted. I've heard a few people reporting the same problem I had - on startup, a dialog box pops up saying "The end of file was reached." There is no explanation given, it's absolutely impossible to get into the program, and reinstalling it doesn't help. It might possibly work if you reformat and reinstall the system, but I'm not sure.
Since Entourage looks a lot like OE and since they're both by MS, I can see why there would be some confusion.
