Hi John:  Thank you for letting me know the enormous amount of time is not
unheard of.  Yes, I only had "English" checked as the only language.  And
the partition is only 4.3 gig with, I think, about 3.7 of it used (I'd hate
to see how long it would take for someone who had a 20 or 40 gig HD!)  Like
I said, after 16 hours, it still said 85 hours to go  :-/ which is about
four entire days!  If you "stop" it to use the computer, then you have to
start the Indexing all over from scratch.

Also, I noticed the Help Guide said you can not have the computer go to
"sleep" while it is indexing, so I turned off 'sleep.'  However, I did turn
on the "Night Fall" screen-saver.  I wonder if that affected it in any way?
I wouldn't think so.

At this point I doubt I will ever really fully "index" this HD.  I just
wondered about the time factor.  Thanks for sharing your experience!
