I wouldn't do it. I've been down that road once before, with Namezero holding the domain in their name. It was pure hell trying to extricate it when a corporate merger put the domain name (and thousands of others) into namespace limbo. Not NZs fault, but they didn't have anything at stake, either - and it showed. I use GoDaddy, like them very much, and have found them professional and helpful.
