apple charges a flat rate for PowerBook repairs; it doesn't matter if it's a battery, a logic board, or an LCD, it all costs the same. the firewire ports are on the logic board. there's not really a cheap/easy here. if you want firewire still, the logic board needs replacement. -- G-Books is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
