Hi Andrew, I have a Mainstreet with the 12" screen, and put the same question to a technician who does this conversion, here is his reply:
You can put the 13" on ok, but all the plastics and the ribbons, hinges, and invertor must be changed as well.. It's a lot of work and hassle.. I charge $500 for the 13" changeout and $575 for the 14.1" change out (with a new LCD of course).. I didn't go for it so I cannot recommend him, but if you want to contact me I'll gladly send you his e-mail.
