Sorry, but this is not determined by the make/model of PowerBook you 
have.  I run 8.6 on a Wallstreet II (233) and 9.2.1 on an iBook and both 
wake when the lid is opened.  I don't know why the Wallstreet does this, 
but I never have to hit a key.  In 9.2.1 on the iBook I have "wake when 
computer is opened" checked in the Energy Saver control panel.
