Someone suggested Vaseline. I think that makes a lot of sence. Everyone forgets that it's "petroleum" jelly - that's OIL. I used to make leather goods and used it to bring new life to dry leather. It's great on leather boots, makes them pliable and waterproof. And it's cheap and readily available and sticks to the surface. Great idea. -- Mike Amato
