I used the Airport drivers when I used a Lucent card on my 2400c (with G3 upgrade). I used Tomeviewer to extract the files and installed them onto the 2400c. When I popped the card in, it showed up as "Airport PC Card" on the desktop. This was under MacOS 9.1.
hope that helps. -Hal On Wednesday, December 18, 2002, at 02:11 PM, Andrew wrote: >> on 17/12/02 23:51, Andrew at [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote >>> I want to use the latest airport drivers with my Lucent Wavelan card >>> (thanks to the list for the recommendation) and the latest drivers >>> want >>> 9.04 or better. >> >> I'm not sure if you're talking about the Lucent's driver or the Apple >> AirPort driver, but in the case you've been using the Lucent driver, >> if you >> move to 9 and install AirPort from Apple, you won't need to install >> any >> other driver (which is a good thing) since your card will be >> recognized as a >> genuine AirPort card. >> >> -Laurent. > > I have been using the Lucent drivers, they actually worked as far as > connecting to the hub but they wouldn't let me eject the card as long > as > the Wavelan extension was installed.
