Most likely. 9.1 is definitely a worthwhile upgrade over 9.0.4...<<<

I too have a Formac CDRW FireWire unit, and it works like a charm.  Check your 
extensions and make sure that you have the ~ CarbonLib extension installed"...check 
under the Extensions Manager Control Panel.  I would suggest not stopping at 9.1, but 
go all the way to 9.2.2.  Also, run your Software Update Control Panel and see if 
there is a frimware update that you possibly may be missing.

BTW, I didn't install any new drivers.  I simply plugged the unit into my OS 9.2.2 
system, and it went right to work.  You will need to install Toast though for burning.
