The last week or so, my keyboard on my Pismo (9.2.2, 384MB, 10GB) has
been acting flaky on my. Specifically, the 'QWERTY' row keys pretty much
quit working (even if I press down and hold on a key or try hitting it a
few times). The number row and the 'home row' (ASDFGHKL...) and below
work fine (except that the Delete key, and sometimes either the Command
key or the Option key gives trouble/won't work, too). Also, the up & left
arrow keys at times won't work, either. Sometimes the Cmd-X thing helps
that, sometimes not.

Possibly related to this - a bit before this, the keybard would sag in
the upper right corner (like it slipped below and got caught under those
plastic ledges along the side). Some of the time, if I cut something
(Command-X) using the keys, the Delete key will work again. Also, if I
pull the release levers to lift the keyboard up, sometimes that will fix
things for a while. Oh yeah, the tab on the middle release lever at the
top middle has lost its lip that is supposed to fit into the slot in the
upper case, and the upper right release lever/button came apart (can't
find the tab or the cover plastic for that).

Yeah, I know the keyboard is likely in need of replacing (try typing in
your messages using KeyCaps and the trackpad and then pasting that into
your message...), but I am between jobs (and savings, etc.), so the $140
plus for a replacement one is not there for now (PB Parts lists one at
$139, but even if it was $39 I couldn't afford it right now).

If anyone has any suggestions to get this working until I get a job (and
replacement keyboard) again. I really don't want to go back to my (now
excrutiatingly slow) Quadra for e-mail, but if this keyboard dies on me,
I'll have to.

Any and all help will be appreciated.
