Hello I just signed on
I'm considering buying a Mac laptop (probably used ) It is now listed on the new ibook and G4 laptops. When was it introduced ? The v92 feature is desirable to me . It allows phone pick-up from a dial-up with a 56 K modem. Someone on the ehmac.ca board mentioned that v92 was feature of Jaguar OS. ( with a 56K v90 modem ?) Can anyone confirm or deny this ? Generally is there any speed difference between using a PCMIA 56 v92 modem or an external 56 v92 modem ? There seems to be quite a price spread between the PC and the Mac card modems (3 x) Is there any phsical difference ? Is it possible to obtain a driver to use a PC card in a Mac ?
