That was my thought. I opened it up and installed an Airport card and swapped in a new hard drive already. I'm just wondering how much tougher the optical drive swap is. I just got the tech doc, but it's written as if you are installing a new service part, so there are some adjustments to be made. I'll post a follow-up note if I end up doing the surgery...
