I borrowed another OS9 installation disc from a neighbor just for the
heck of it. and could not boot using it either. It is exactly like
mine (OS 9) so I suspect that Pismo will not boot on anything less than
OS9.0.2 which is what it originally shipped with. Mine has Jaguar
installed and I prefer to simply run it on OS 9 for the "snappiness"
over Jaguar and realize of course I must install OS9.2 to run as
Classic with Jaguar, something I now plan to do since I do have the
OS9.2.2 installation disc that came with Jaguar anyway. Just an
experiment as I thought plain old OS9 without all the built-in OS X
functions and compatibility might save Pismo some effort and breathing
room! Should have read the fine print before I grabbed the OS9 disc
for the Pismo! I just don't like Jaguar all that much, at least for
the laptop. Thanks for all the helpful suggestions and comment on my
post however.
