That thought had occurred to me but I figure the author of this post was
working from a tight budget, and considering how rare the PCMCIA card module
(not to mention a PPC upgrade) is for the PB520/540, he would probably spend
as much on that one accessory as he would on a complete 5300 or 1400.

And since others indicated that the Wavelan silver drivers will work with an
'040 processor, your idea isn't really a dumb one.
