just the tip of the iceberg. I had problems booting, that a reinstall
solved.

-----------------------
I had a booting problem, that I corrected by running the Fix Permissions utility that
is on the Disk Utility that is on the Software Restore DVD. It found numerous
permissions problems, fixed them, and booting has worked well since.

When I installed 10.2.3, which seems to have fixed my "wake from sleep" problem, I
first ran the 10.2.3 install, restarted, ran Fix Permissions, restarted again.
