I did add a Maxtor 30 GB around a couple of years ago in my B&W G3. Didn't have any problem until the drive failed a little bit over a year after I got it. Returned it and got another one. A few months later, the new drive failed again. I returned it and they sent me a 40 GB at no additional cost. I had it since then and didn't have any problem so far after over a year. I have been pleased with their service and the drive has been performing well since I got it. I would imagine that there was maybe some flaws with the 30 GB models, which the 40 didn't have, and that might explain why they replaced a 30 GB with a 40. That's my experience with Maxtor. If I had to buy another drive, that would probably be an IBM or another Maxtor, based on my experience. -Laurent. -- =========================================================================== Laurent Daudelin Developer, Multifamily, ESO, Fannie Mae mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Washington, DC, USA ************************* Usual disclaimers apply ************************* -- G-Books is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
