I don't like the one that you will be referred to.  Macadam.  The owner is a
pretentious ass and they have never given me even remotely decent customer
service.  

My opinion...having lived in SF for 10 years:

Go to the Apple store on campus in Cupertino.  It's about 40 minutes south
of SF and walk into One Infinite Loop and buy one.  That store is VERY cool
and the experience is awesome if you have never been to the Mothership.

Or the Apple store in Emeryville which is just across the Bay Bridge between
Oakland and Berkeley.
